Criminal Justice Student Scholarship
2024 Student Scholarship Application
The Criminal Justice Student Scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a career in law enforcement or a related program, who meets the below listed criteria:
- has completed at least 9 credits of higher education
- has a minimum GPA of 2.5
- has completed the application with all of the appropriate attachments
The scholarship will be given once a year. The deadline for the application is May 30, 2024.
The scholarship amount will be awarded at the discretion of the Board of Trustees. A check will be sent directly to the school the student is attending. The scholarship winner will also receive a one-year membership to the Wisconsin Association of Women Police and will be invited to the yearly awards ceremony.

WAWP Member Scholarship
2024 Member Scholarship Application
The Member Academic Scholarship is awarded to a student already in the law enforcement field who is a WAWP member, pursuing a degree in law enforcement or a related program, who meets the below listed criteria:
- has completed at least 9 credits of higher education
- has a minimum GPA of 2.5
- has completed the application with all of the appropriate attachments
The scholarship will be given once a year. The deadline for the application is May 30, 2024.
The scholarship amount will be awarded at the discretion of the Board of Trustees. The scholarship winner will also receive a one-year membership to the Wisconsin Association of Women Police and will be invited to the yearly awards ceremony.
2024 Morlynn Frankey Memorial Scholarship Application
The Morlynn Frankey Memorial Scholarship has been established by the WAWP, to be awarded to a qualifying college student of any degree level. This scholarship is funded by the Frankey Moehn family in honor of Morlynn’s trailblazing career, dedication to the law enforcement profession, and passion for education. Please refer to the attached flyer for details of the path that Morlynn paved for women in Law Enforcement today.

Attach with the completed application:
- Applicant is seeking a degree in a law enforcement related field. This may include Criminal Justice, Forensics, Sociology, or other related field.
- Any college student for any degree level may apply. Students going into their first year of college must provide a letter of acceptance to a college program and course registration information for the current or next semester.
- One letter of recommendation from educational professor/instructor/teacher.
- One letter of recommendation from professional source (coworker, supervisor, etc)
- Essay of 250 words or more about applicant and career goals.
